welcome home to rye ~  a floral studio based in toronto that specializes in creating floral sculptures to adorn spaces filled with our loved ones, to celebrate life's biggest moments.  

rye is the outcome of creative play by blaire mikaela; a girl born in kitchener who spent her whole life on the move. having her formative years as an expat kid in austin texas + southeast asia, blaire had the opportunity to travel to some of the most remote and biodiverse places in the world. “i am so lucky to have had these amazing experiences that i can apply to my work. seeing the world through the lens of an artist, i pull inspiration from everything. a walk to my neighbourhood plant shop, a hike in indonesia. beauty is everywhere”.  ~ as a queer person, blaire prioritizes forming relationships and collaborating with people that foster kindness and uplift other community members, while minimizing environmental impacts whenever possible.

here at rye we create pieces with life + movement, drawing inspiration from the intricate folds in a flowers’ petals, the striking lines of brutalist architecture; how everything around us boldly but so delicately interacts with one another.
